Tallest Hedge Gets a Trim

12 08 2008

Toff: Lord Allen Apsley

Drug: Docetaxel

Maybe I’m going mad, but it’s not often you see a big stunt that helps promote awareness of a chemotherapy drug.  Today we’ve seen Britain’s tallest hedge given a trim – with offcuts “sold to pharmaceutical companies who use yew extract as a key ingredient of Docetaxel, a chemotherapy drug used mainly for breast, ovarian and lung cancer.”

Really nice middle-england gets pimped up story.
