Look around you at Red and you could be mistaken for thinking it’s Christmas.  The decorations have gone up, Christmas music is jingling along and chestnuts are a roasting on an open fire.  You may think I’m joking, but with B&Q as a client and long lead publications closing their Christmas editions now (Good Housekeeping went to bed last month) the Marketing world is well and truly in Christmas mode.

For retailers like Hamleys then now is the time to be showing your Christmas gubbins off.  Every year pretty much the same story appears – this Christmas the toys of the past will be making a revivial.  Last year is was Yo Yos probably, this year it’s the Stylophone and Rubiks Cube.
