Carlings iPint Keeps Brand Cool on iPhone App Store

The launch of Apple’s new iPhone App store, which is being touted as the most exciting platform for developers since Windows, has offered brands a unique opportunity to sneak in Apps for the stores launch and keep themselves at the height of cool. In amoung the usual suspects, Carling has been a big winner, adapting iPint, a virtual glass of beer, for the gadget. At the weekend it topped the chart of free Apps for a few minutes – good to see brands jumping on the App band wagon already.

Praise also has to goto Shazam for closing in on the Facebook App and getting some very favourable write ups so far.

You may well have seen iPint before on if, like me, you’d had one too many to drink one night, thrown ‘it may get bricked’ caution to the wind and pressed a button to jailbreak your device – giving you an eight month preview of this sort of thing. See it in action here:
