Formulaic PR and Clever Virals

Anyone who knows me will know that I’m not a big fan of ‘formulas’ in PR.  Grab a scientist, get them to make up a formula and pretend you have a story – not one to ever be that proud about.

Papers still fill themselves with the things, but it’s a pretty dull way to publicise something. So pity the guys who’ve followed up the PRWeek award-winning Cheddarvision.tv (which got over 1.8m hits) with a Cheddar-o-meter and formula for the perfect sandwich. Still got coverage for it though {sigh…}.
