The British Liver Trust have done well today with a huge case study on Natasha Farnham, the UK’s ‘youngest’ person to suffer from alcohol-related Liver failure. With full pages in The Sun (p24) and The Mirror (p10) the campaign continues for supermarkets to raise the price of alcohol and clamp down on teen drinking. Now I’m no health expert but surely, as an organ in the body, there must’ve been younger people than 14 to suffer liver failure before, even related to alcohol. But it’s done well and gets across the key messages The British Liver Trust want to communicate. Sarah Matthews, Press and PR officer for the trust, is quoted everywhere (Telegraph, Sun, PA etc).
